NSDC E-Learning Series: Professional learning teams program begins next week!

October 27 2009 by Tom Manning

NSDC's 2009-2010 E-Learning Series continues next week with a five-week program facilitated by author and national professional learning teams consultant Anne Jolly.

The program, Professional Learning Teams: Building and Sustaining Powerful Collaborative Learning, is geared toward teacher leaders, principals, and other school-level staff who develop, plan, and support collaborative teacher learning.

The program features:

  • Weekly live sessions facilitated by Jolly.
  • Individual and collaborative team activities designed to provide each participant with a toolkit of resources they can use in their schools.
  • Practical tools and strategies designed to assist PLT facilitators and team members in leading productive team discussions, setting group norms, developing data-based goals, and more.

In addition, each participant in this program receives a copy of Jolly's book, Team to Teach: A Facilitator's Guide to Professional Learning Teams.

This program is valuable for both individual facilitators and teacher teams who want to become more effective adult learners. The five-week program begins November 2 and is $199 for NSDC members and $249 for nonmembers. Group discounts are also available. Register for the program or learn more about NSDC's E-Learning Series here, or if you'd like more information, contact me at 972-421-0888, or via email at tom.manning@nsdc.org.
